$74.770 - $96.480 - $118.190The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
What You Will Do
The Rehab Manager at Sharp Grossmont is accountable for coordinating the ongoing development and productivity of work units and for maintaining the quality of care within the work units and/or programs. Responsible for operational planning, achieving budgetary objectives, achieving all quality metrics and delivering a high level of customer service
Required Qualifications
- Other : Graduate of an accredited college or university with a certificate in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy
- 3 Years demonstrated leadership and/or project management skills.
- 3 Years clinical experience.
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
- California Occupational Therapist license - CA Board of Occupational Therapy OR California Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) - CA Physical Therapy Board OR California Speech-Language Pathologist - CA Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board -REQUIRED
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 Years management experience.
- experience and understanding of operations and regulations for inpatient rehab facility, acute hospital therapies, outpatient therapy clinic and Transitional Care Unit (TCU) settings.
- experience and understanding of CARF standards and certification.
Essential Functions
- Collaborates with SGH Leadership and System Director in operational planning.
- Provides daily work direction to achieve unit level of care and organizational objectives.
- Contributes to budget development and maintains responsibility for achieving budgetary objectives.
- Supervises staff, including hiring, coaching and counseling, and assuring performance appraisals are completed.
- Assures that productivity and quality are tracked and maintained.
- Collaborates with SGH Leadership and System Rehab Director, other Managers and Senior Specialists to standardize, update and/or maintain rehab system policies and procedures.
- Assures quality care and compliance with internal standards and regulatory and accreditation bodies.
- Collaborates with marketing and community care departments regarding the development, marketing, implementation and evaluation of programs.
- Assumes responsibility and accountability for units, programs, disciplines and departments supervised.
- Participates as directed in the annual operational planning process.
- Executes priorities to ensure implementation of operation plan within the work units. Promotes staff accountability and empowerment through formal and informal mechanisms.

- Human Relations skills - demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively and to work collaboratively with multiple others of diverse cultures, education background, experience, etc. Demonstrated knowledge of team building skills and principles of self-managed work teams.
- Develops relationships that demonstrate consistent effective leadership (i.e., ability to gain commitments, develop vision, and effectively produce change) utilizing input from customers and the executive leadership survey.

- Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and implements solutions to enhance outcomes across all pillars.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of fiscal and budgetary principles and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Skill to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment.
- Able to lead or participation in a minimum of one CARF survey.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
