Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$25.300 - $30.360 - $34.000


The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.


What You Will Do

The Medical Assistant will assist patients, staff and physicians as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations and customer service while providing quality care to designated patient population.

The position responsibilities includes department efficiency and effectiveness by answering phones, department organization of monitoring patient flow, physician schedules and completes daily tasks and supply inventory. Responds quickly to urgent situations, prepare exam room and patients for exams, accurately documents patient care per protocol, partners with clinical team and physicians. Assist in minor office procedures and medication administration.

This position will Float (North Inland), San Diego County (Sorrento Mesa, Scripps Ranch, Mira Mesa, Rancho Bernardo, Del Mar, Carmel Valley and Downtown).

Required Qualifications

  • Certification of completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - California Certifying Board for Medical Assistants.
  • 1 Year MA experience in related clinical area.
  • Hospital Corpsman (HM) - US Navy.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical skill and office procedures.
  • Medication administration proficiency.
