Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$57.740 - $74.490 - $83.440


The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.



What You Will Do
Manages projects, solves problems and researches data and creates reporting to facilitate business activities. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Cycle and Data Management, manages short and long term projects that require research and analysis of complex healthcare datasets, organization, planning, development, communication and/or coordination. Serves as an advisor to senior and executive management team on assigned projects. Projects may include, but are not limited to, work in the areas of, process improvement, business development, financial performance, and quality initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in health care, business or related field.
  • 5 years' experience in position requiring high levels of cooperation, collaboration, analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
  • Research skills and experience producing analysis, executive summaries, presentations, proposals, and recommendations.
  • Experience in writing and editing of varied communication materials.

Essential Functions

  • Business analysis
    Examines business trends, creates reports and makes recommendations based on this information. Provides senior management with advisory information to aid in decision making and effective, efficient delivery of Plan products and services.
    Compiles and analyzes information for reports and presentation materials.
    Communicates key message points, evaluates and recommends level of Plan participation.
    Summarizes data and information and provides written and/or oral presentations regarding findings. Completes presentation materials including slides, overheads, handouts, etc.
  • Completes project planning and implementation
    Develops approach and methodology for strategy execution.
    Conducts a wide scope of analysis for assigned projects.
    Develops project plans and implements or oversees project execution.
  • Customer service
    Provides prompt, accurate and excellent service to internal and external customers.
    Develops solid professional working relationships with various internal departments and units, and as required, vendors, providers, employers, brokers and/or other customers.
  • Design and development
    Designs and/or implements financial and/or quality improvement initiatives that encompass measurement monitoring, establishment of benchmarks, reporting, analysis, process improvement, etc.
    Interacts with various internal departments to provide assistance, information, and quality improvement education.
    Provides guidance, tools and encouragement to management and staff for process improvement leading to efficiency, cost effectiveness and higher levels of customer and provider satisfaction.
  • Facilitates meetings
    Attends and/or facilitates committee and other collaboration meetings for information and education.
  • General support
    Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned.
    These may include, but are not limited to, work groups, proposals, audits and back-up support for other departments.
  • Human resource management
    Supervises staff assigned to designated projects.
    Provides input on performance evaluations as requested by management.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have advanced skills in Excel, experience with merging large datasets and analyzing data, working knowledge of SQL and with reporting tools such as SSRS and/or Tableau.
  • Working knowledge of procedure, diagnostic, and revenue coding (e.g. CPT-4, HCPCPS, CRVS, RBRVS, RVS, ICD-10, etc.) and medical terminology.
